My allergies are just out of this world this season. I usually do not get too bothered by pollen, and just manage through with little complaining. This season, however, my whole body seems to be in allergic reaction mode. Of course, the world is currently covered in a thick, yellow blanket of pollen, so I guess it makes sense that I am sneezing my nose off, and can’t stop rubbing my eyes. I am truly miserable, and I know it is the pollen. I saw a commercial on Dish TV for Zyrtec. I’m not sure how Zyrtec is different from Claritin, but I’m willing to try anything at this point. Apparently, Zyrtec is relatively knew as an over the counter allergy treatment, and people seem to like it a lot. I have always used Claritin, but since I am not noticing much of an improvement at all, I guess it is time to try something new. I can’t go on like this much longer. I can barely get my work done I’m so miserable.

Yes…soon I’ll be up to my eyeballs in graduation invitations, graduation announcements, party decorations, balloons, food, drink and all that fun stuff. We have actually decided to throw the party on Father’s Day — June 17. I know…it’s a little unorthodox, but we’re going to make it work.

David wants all the family there for his big day and we’ll have to fix enough food to do it right. I think we’ll probably do a bonfire at night and I hear that there will be a fun jazz band playing in a nearby park that evening for us older peeps. Sounds like something for everyone, right? I think so!

I’m not stressing about it yet, but give me time. That is a guaranteed situation, believe me. It does help that we’ve done this before so at least now I have a little experience and know-how.

I love the new invitations you can get that incorporate your grad’s school colors and themes. We actually bought some that came in a special package with his graduation cap and gown. That reminds me…WHY do you have to BUY the graduation gown? Seriously?!? What on earth is wrong with renting? We are now the proud owners of a bright red graduation gown that we will probably only use once. Oh well…memories, right?
