Summer in a Little Town

I hesitate to write this…but we don’t lock our doors at night. We keep the windows wide open and the porches open leading straight into the house. Also…I often leave my keys in the ignition of my car while it sits in our driveway. Crazy? Maybe a little. Spoiled? Maybe a lot. That’s life in our small town. No home security anniston worries here.

I know others are not so lucky. Yes, my Direct TV gives me a glimpse of the steps others must take to stay safe and keep their belongings secure.

I feel so blessed to be able to send my kids off to the park or the library on their bikes, not having to worry about crime and theft. In the 18 years since we left the capital city of our state and moved to this small town, life there has certain changed.
