Winter Skin
Winter skin is a tough one…Cracking hands, dry face, scaly legs…the works. I just detest what the dry and cold weather do to my skin. Thankfully it seems like my skin rejuvenates when the weather moderates. Sometimes when it really gets to me and I start looking around for some high quality skin care products, I land on the review sites and then I get so unnerved about buying anything.
Like this www.strivectinreviews.net site, for instance. If I had unwittingly spent money on something that was an inferior product with questionable ingredients, I’d be very upset.
I picked up some shea butter lotion from a WAHM who makes the stuff out of her home. It’s from a website called Yellow Mellow Soap. Another website (actually Hyena cart) called Naturally Pampered has some too but some of them may be scented. The one from Yellow Mellow soap actually is not and it wasn’t too expensive. Both also carry soaps that are homemade, the naturally pampered soap I’ve been VERY happy with and we’ve ordered from her twice now because the soap is kind to Natalie’s skin. She has some eczema issues, inherited from my dad who was totally allergic to most soaps out there. Actually, what’s out there for soap isn’t even soap, it’s detergents and not always good for your skin. I’ve learned a lot about this stuff because of Natalie’s skin issues and should probably start looking for something even more mild for the baby so that we have it when the time comes. Something like pure olive oil soap.
John has a lot of issues with dry hands too so we’re trying to fight that right now and I may have to bring out the shea butter stuff for him to try too. It works great for my feet which are almost always dry.
