We now have TWO teenagers in the house! Sarah turned 13 yesterday amid a quiet family celebration. She watched the final countdown to 9:28 pm last night and finally admitted that 13 didn’t feel that much different than 12. LOL

I had my OB appt on Tuesday with my new doctor. I think I can deal with him….at least at this point. He is treating me as a high-risk pregnancy because of a multitude of factors that all-combined make for a concerning combination.

1. previous c-section (#1)
2. over 40
3. two partial placenta abruptions
4. ninth baby
5. preterm labor (#8)

The plan is to start non-stress tests weekly at 32 weeks. He says my main symptom of the abruption last time was the intermittent pain that plagued me for the last month of my pregnancy. He didn’t seem too impressed that my doctors missed that symptom. So…I am hopeful that we might be able to avoid or at least circumvent any complications this time.

Sigh…I’m getting too old for this!
