Do you consider yourself “scatterbrained?” As much as I would like to deny it…I definitely do have my scatterbrained moments. This is especially true when I am running errands and I have kids with me. It is so easy to get distracted and lose track of something.

No, thankfully I have never lost a kid. Though I’ve had plenty of opportunities for this to happen, they always seem to stick pretty close to me. This can be challenging, too, because I have what my sweet hubs calls my “shopping mode.” Simply put, I make tracks through the grocery store and don’t get in my way!

Anyway, it would be more like me me to lose my beloved smart phone while I’m out and about. Honestly, though…if I ever do lose my phone, I would probably just melt right then and there into a puddle of mush. I’d be devastated!

That’s why I was very intrigued by the TrackItBack service that I just was reading about. When you are a TrackItBack customer, you get your own uniquely coded ID labels to place on your personal items. You can then register your items online at TrackItBack’s website (or by phone) and these little labels will help you get your items back if they are ever lost.

Think of the potential! Cell phones, laptops, iPods, Mp3 players, wallets, passports, Blackberrys, smart phones, PDAs, cameras…even keys! I just really think this is an amazing concept and I need to seriously consider investing in a few labels for some of my oft-used and easily-lost items.
