Before our last road trip, we finally broke down and bought a portable DVD system for our family. We were pretty conservative with its use in the van because we appreciate the way a long car ride forces kids to become resourceful to stay busy…but there were times when it was so nice to be able to pop a DVD in and give the little ones a way to chill and be happy while they watched their favorite DVDs.

I know Lora and Chad are also converts to the benefits of a portable DVD player because they bought one just before their trip a week ago too…and theirs really helped Ava to tolerate the long van drive up here from Kansas. When you think about it…why shouldn’t a long drive be as pleasant for everyone as possible? It just should be!

I just found some Car Headrest Monitors at OnFair.com and if we didn’t already own a system, I would be looking carefully at these headrest dvds.
