Yearning for Yarn

I am in the middle of my regular yard addiction. It seems to hit me hard every winter for whatever reason.

Yesterday while hubby and I were out running errands, I told him I needed to stop at Joann’s for some yarn. Being the regular kind of guy he is, he opted to stay in the car and wait for me. I told him I wouldn’t be long and I literally ran into the store! Yarn awaited!

I got back to the yarn department and feasted my eyes on all of the yummy kinds of yarn…then I decided to be good and I stuck to the yarn on sale. I started throwing this and throwing that into my cart and before I knew it my cart was about 1/3 full of yarn!

I decided enough was enough and headed for the check-out. To my dismay, who should I see sauntering toward me but…HUBBY!!!!!!! GAH! No turning back now, though! Onward to the check-out, hubby in tow! SIGH

I get to the register and hand the checker my two coupons…that oughta help a LITTLE bit I hope!

She scans and scans and scans…gulp. Hubby takes a step back and looks around a little bit – not really realizing, I don’t think, how much this is going to add up to…

She gets the total, and then adjusts the total with the coupons. I saved $12! That should account for something!

My adjusted total is…$50! Not really that bad considering everything I got…but I know hubby is a little freaked. He hasn’t reacted, yet though.

I pay for the yarn and then as we are walking out the the car he simply says to me: “That’s a lot of yarn!”

Gotta love my man.

He did, though, have to tell Daniel how much my yarn cost once Daniel was done with his test a little later. Then the two of them proceeded to laugh at me and how ridiculous my purchases were. MEN!
