Here is a little taste of some of the doozies that Miss Ruthie and Miss Abby get into on a daily basis.  This little gem occurred last Friday evening as they were digging into bowls of popcorn.  Isaiah was there too, as you will notice a little later.

Ruthie (thinking deep thoughts, as usual):  “Mom, when you are all grown up, do you have to get married right away when you leave home?”

Me:  “No…sometimes it takes a little while to find just the right person that you want to spend your life with.”

Abby:  “Well…I’m marrying…YOU (pointing at me)!”

Ruthie:  “Abby…you have to marry a MAN!”

Abby:  “OK…then I’ll marry Daddy!”

Ruthie:  “No, no, no…you have to marry someone you don’t KNOW.”

Abby:  “OK then…(thinking furiously now)”

At this point we start getting suggestions from Isaiah (who for all appearances had been ignoring the whole thing and concentrating on his popcorn…not so though!  He had been listening intently).  Isaiah suggests Michael, Sarah, and Daniel for possible husbands for Abby.  So helpful!

Abby:  “I’ll marry………………GRANDPA!!!”

Well…that solves it then!  LOL

BTW – we are thinking lots about Grandpa right now as he is recovering from surgery.  Nothing too serious, but it will put him out of commission for about a week!  Lots of love, Grandpa!!!
