There was a time when I was such a frequent layaway customer at certain discount stores that I shop at that they knew me by name. We have always been “pay as you go” people and don’t believe in utilizing credit cards for weekly spending like this. So…I used to plan my household budget and expenditures around making purchases by Lay-Away. That was just how I did it.

Then…the major discount stores started phasing out Lay-Away…and this was such a hardship for me! It really made me rearrange how I did things and it was difficult.

I just recently discovered that it is now possible to make purchases through a newly reinstituted Kmart Lay-Away option…and I am ecstatic! First, I love Kmart! I think the quality of their items is superior to other discount stores. Second, I think it is so cool that Kmart has decided to give their customers a little extra help during this difficult economic time. They have made it possible for consumers to hold on to their cash and avoid costly interest charges on credit cards…for this I applaud Kmart!

I’ve been wanting a juicer for quite a while…and now I think I might just put one on Lay-Away at Kmart. This juicer that I just found on Kmart’s website looks like exactly what I would like to have so I think I’m going to have to put Kmart’s new Lay-Away back to work for me.
