It’s not Labor Day yet…there are still a couple of weeks left to try to squeeze in a last hurrah for the summer of 2008.

How about a road trip? We take a lot of road trips in our family and they are always an adventure. I remember one rather wacky road trip during which we pulled a trailer behind our van all the way out to the west coast. I think our grand mileage total for that trip was about 4,000 miles. We were gone a whole month! We ended up spending quite a lot of time between the Oregon coast all the way down to the San Francisco Area. If you ever get a chance to book San Francisco tours, you really should. That is a city like no other. Of course, navigating those streets pulling a trailer was quite insane in and of itself…but we had a blast and it was a very memorable vacation for our family. How well I remember those hills and my husband trying to pick his way through the city…avoiding the most crazy steep hills. There were a few times he chose wrong and we didn’t even know if we were going to make it to the tippy top of those mountains! Crazy!
