New Urban Comic Book Series

I just found out about a new issue of an episodic action-adventure series calledC2 & Posse:Inner-City Heroes™. It is written by Anthony C. Fletcher, who is professional artist with tons of varied experience in different art-related fields. Anthony is just beginning to enter the world of graphic novels, and this first one seems to be a real winner.

Set in the year 2150, a group of teenagers get kidnapped while visiting the Museum of Natural Mystery. There are four different heroes in the story…all of which are easily identifiable by young people. I think my favorite hero would have to be GLOW. He is happy and energetic and plays the tenor sax…what more could you ask for in a hero?

This series is dramatic, humorous and exciting. This can be a very useful communication vehicle that could easily be used to build awareness of issues concerning children, teenagers, ecology and humanity. Every adventure challenges the group of heroes to develop their intellect, faith, individual talents and collective skills to overcome obstacles and to defeat the evil empire.

My favorite part…their motto: ‘no guns…just fun.’ As a parent who is concerned about the entertainment that my kids use, this sounds really good to me.
