Planning a Fun Vacation This Summer?
It’s been years since I was in Orlando, but I remember well the vacation my family and I spent there one December back when I was a teenager. I believe I was 16. It was actually right after the grand opening of Epcot Center. The place was brand spankin’ new and we had to have been one of the first tourists through the park. It was very cool. I remember Disneyworld, too, but Epcot stands out much more in my memory because it was so new and innovative. There are many things to do in Orlando besides just Epcot Center and Disneyworld, though. I remember spending a lot of time at the beach. As far as family activities go, the beach is almost preferable to me than spending a lot of time at amusement parks.
I went snorkeling for the first time when we were in Orlando. My dad and I also rented some boogie boards and did some fooling around in the waves and that was a lot of fun, too.
*sigh*
I guess I’ve gotten old – because I don’t enjoy the beach like I used to. I remember really having fun when we were in Florida.
Hmmmmmm – all this talk about vacations has me thinking I might need one. Maybe something that includes The Metropolitan museum of art. If you are up for a vacation too, then finding some interesting online travel guides from Trusted Tours and Attractions is a great place to start your planning.
