The video above was shot Monday morning at a popular vacation area that is about 2 hours north of us. We have been there many times and boated on this lake often (and stayed at resorts on the lake). Wisconsin had over 4 inches of rain over last weekend and then Monday the swollen Lake Delton finally escaped and emptied into the Wisconsin River about 1/4 mile away. Four homes were swept away, but amazingly there were no injuries.

The lake is now nearly empty. Wisconsin National Guard engineers have begun repairs on the dam already but the they are not expected to be completed for over a year.
