A Watch for Father’s Day

As I was looking around the internet for ideas for Father’s Day gifts this morning, I found a nice idea. How about a watch for the fathers who are on my gift list? I think that all three dads that I am buying for this year would love some of the great looking
Ebel watches that I found on this site. They are really nice looking! It’s nice to have more than one watch for various situations and occasions. I think a dressy watch would be a great addition to any man’s collection.

As I was shopping their site, I think the different Jewelry watches here are lovely. Especially this one. I think my dad would wear this for sure, but I need to keep looking for my husband and his dad.

I am sure to find something for everyone here…I don’t see how you couldn’t. The selection is huge! TheWatchery is the most discounted luxury watch site online. They offer free watches with almost every purchase! If in the unlikely event you don’t want a free watch, you can pick one from a large selection at 80% off!

The Good-Bye Syndrome

It has a name…

Backover accidents are definitely in the public awareness right now with the death of Steven Curtis Chapman’s 5 year old daughter last week. In a community near where we live over the weekend a 13 month old toddler was killed in a church parking lot when her mother accidentally ran her over.

Absolutely heart-wrenching and tragic and this makes every parent draw in a shakey breath and think. It has to…

Then I read this morning that they have given this tragedy a name:

The Good-Bye Syndrome

It’s been given this name because often the reason a child has run out onto the driveway when someone is leaving is to say good-bye one more time.

I also read one mother’s account of what happened when she accidentally ran over her own toddler. It was gut-wrenching. This story had a happy ending and her son survived and completely recovered, I’m relieved to say.

According to the national advocacy organization Kids and Cars, approximately 50 children are backed over by vehicles every week. Forty-eight of those children are treated in emergency rooms, but approximately two die each week. Most of the children are between the ages of 12 months and 24 months old.

In more than 70 percent of these incidents, a parent or close relative is behind the wheel.

Thought For the Day

Listen In

Only when we find the quietness in our own minds can we begin to hear our inner voice. This is our intuition. We must value the wisdom that we carry at the core of our being. If it’s been a long time since we truly listened, a little practice and patience will be needed.

Sit down, be quiet and listen in at some point today and you might be surprised at what you hear. Do it again tomorrow.

Remember that you are the listener and not the noise.
