Happy Weekend!

Birds are singing, kids are all still sleeping, my coffee is good and hot, and life is good! It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day.

Our yard cleaned up really nice yesterday and although hubby grumbled a lot I know he was glad to get that done. The area behind our garage has been a mess for years and he got it cleaned up really well. The boys were all great helpers.

I ordered David’s contacts yesterday and they should be in on Monday already! His glasses should be in that day too, so he will have new everything for his eyes and I know he is excited.

We are gearing up for summer here pretty quickly. Next week will be the last of the regular school work for all the kids. I have been busy trying to figure out how to keep them challenged and busy without resorting to the TV and computer all the time.

I just downloaded an ebook (101 Kids Summer Activities) that I am hoping to get some good stuff out of. I also am going to place a large order for crafting supplies and kits because that is one of their favorite things to do.

We may try instituting some kind of weekly schedule like:

Monday: Crafting
Tuesday: Cooking
Wednesday: Nature
Thursday: Seatwork
Friday: Park

I’m still tossing this around but I am really leaning towards a little more structure to the summer this year and seeing how that goes. We get really busy in June and July so I may have to loosen it a little then, but we’ll see.

Anyhoo…that’s what’s bouncing around in my brain today.

What a peaceful time you’ve had this morning! I did my yard work last weekend and I must say my yard was gorgeous, lush and green. I was so very proud of it. It always looks so nice just after I mow it.

I was able to sleep late this morning being that it is Saturday. I’ve had a cup of coffee and now I’m dropping cards, reading blogs and commenting on my favorite ones :)
I’ve got lots of computer stuff to do today plus run some errands so hopefully this weekend will be relaxing and enjoyable.
    Have an awesome day!!
    Hugs, Ellen
