Are You Ready for ENGOBI?

What happens when caffeine and snack chips collide? Brace yourself – we are on the brink of a new era of snacking. The first caffeine-infused snack, Engobi, is about to hit supermarket shelves.

Engobi (stands for Energy Go Bites?) has just come out with two interesting flavors: Cinnamon Surge and Lemon Lift. According to ENGOBI’s website 1.5-ounce, single-serving bag contains about 140 milligrams of caffeine. That?s approximately the same as a cup of coffee.

They call them “functional foods.” Engobi is the newest addition to this food category and will be distributed nationwide through convenience stores and select grocery stores. This snack product will be sold in 1.5-ounce, single-serving bags, with a suggested price of $1.29 per bag.

I think I am ready for some Engobi. I will, however, be hiding these from my kids. The last thing they need is more energy!

  1. Can you imagine the kids getting into these thinking they are just snacks? My son would be bouncing off the ceiling?
