I signed up for Social Spark…
…several weeks ago. At first it was very exciting and a bit confusing. I was there at the tail end of the Alpha testing phase, so there were still quite a few bugs they were working through while I was trying to get myself acclimated. That part was a little tough. But in the week or so since they moved into the Beta phase things have smoothed out quite a bit. Both of my monetized blogs are now in the system and are ready to go. I’ve put several sponsored posts on this blog already. I’m still looking for an opportunity that I can grab that will fit well on my other blog - the pickings are a little slim as far as that goes so far. Hopefully that will change soon!
So far, SocialSpark seems to be a very elaborate business venture that has great possibilities for serving both advertisers’ and bloggers’ needs. It’s a social network and a blogging network all rolled into one. As a blogger, I really appreciate the community aspect of the site and the new way to drive a little traffic to my blogs.
They have a strict code of ethics that is good. They also have a few other aspects that many bloggers appreciate:
- 100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
- 100% Transparency
- 100% Real Opinions
- 100% Search Engine Friendly
Anyone who is trying to preserve Page Rank should really look into SocialSpark. The nofollow links are supposed to be compatible with Google’s requirements for retaining PR.
